The Jones Family’s Daily Life
This is the Jones family. This is Michael and Maria and their son John and their daughter Mary.
Michael and Maria wake up at 7 am. They get up at 7:05. Michael has a shower and makes breakfast. Maria always exercises in the morning. John and Mary get up at 7:45 am. They brush their teeth and get dressed. They have breakfast at 8 am.
The children go to school and Michael and Maria go to work at 8:30 am. The children walk to school. Maria commutes to work by bus and Michael goes to work by car.
They start work at 9 a.m. They check their email. Maria has a meeting at 9:15 am. Michael has a meeting from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. They have lunch from 12 p.m. to 1p.m. They take a coffee break at 3 pm. They finish work at 5 p.m. Sometimes Maria and Michael have drinks with their colleagues after work.
The Jones family usually comes back home at 5:30 pm. The children do their homework. Michael always exercises in the afternoon. Maria and Michael often go for a walk. Sometimes they meet friends. Michael has guitar lessons. Maria has English lessons. Maria often goes shopping.
Michael makes dinner at 6:30 pm. They have dinner at 7 pm. After dinner, they relax. John usually plays the guitar. Sometimes he listens to music. Mary often phones her friends. Sometimes she reads a book. Michael and Maria usually read books. They hardly ever watch TV. At 10 pm, they go to bed.
